Helen Lewis-Smith - Cert Couns, PG Dip, MBACP (reg)
I am an Integrative Counsellor with over 25 years of experience working therapeutically with individual, groups, and families in statutory and non-statutory organisations. I draw upon Cognitive-Behavioral, Person Centred, Modern Psychodynamic and Existential models, which I use to tailor a unique conceptualization and treatment plan for each person, according to the changes you wish to make.
I combine warmth with challenge and strive to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where open dialogue feels possible and where, through collaboration, you feel empowered to navigate change so that you can live more fully.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This is the professional association of the Counselling profession and means that I am regulated by the BACP and work within its ethical framework..
To promote psychological wellbeing through education and therapeutic connections
To represent the profession of Counselling and Psychotherapy in the highest, yet realistic light
To normalise therapy, helping make it as common to seek treatment for our emotional concerns as it is for physical difficulties
